This is an anodised aluminum observation window. It has a 0.55 in. (14 mm) diameter non-breakable plastic viewing window that allows the contents of the container to be readily observed, eliminating the cost of opening packages for inspection. Also accepts TA378-HC-MHI maximum humidity indicator element or any of the standard MIL-I-26860 colour-change discs.
May be installed in flexible barriers through a 1.05 in. (26 mm) diameter hole. Nut and two gaskets are furnished. May also be installed in rigid containers through a 1.05 in. (26 mm) diameter hole by removing one gasket and reversing the nut. NSN # 8145-01-166-9684.
